Game, set and match. ‘The Spark’, ‘The Firestarter’. The adidas FIFA 2010 campaign did its part in glorifying the football players in South Africa. To support the campaign, Refunk was asked to build a website that showed key players of competing teams.
There was a catch: adidas wanted a high amount of adaptability to the wishes of promotors from several countries, as well as room for textual information on the players, to be localised in seventeen languages. The solution to this design challenge? A rotunda of players, adaptable to the wishes of Russian or Spanish salesmen. And do you want Kaka or Messi up front on your Chinese website? No problem, and your Hanzi fit right in the adaptable brackets underneath.
