<p>The session description:</p>
<p><em><strong>Stanislav is more viral than the swineflu</strong></em></p>
<p><em>Everybody and their dog create guerilla marketing and viral campaigns, but only a few do it really well. The guys &amp; dolls from KONG, a young interactive theme-agency, did it well, 5-million-views-in-a-week well. KONG calls it an 'ambush': a campaign linked to a Hyves profile, cleverly packaged in an actionmovie setting, ultimately disguised in a YouTube player.</em></p>
<p><em>The aim of the campaign was to be more aware of how to deal with your personal details online. &nbsp;Next to that it started a lively discussion about online privacy and the assumption that your personal details are safe verywhere.
The results speak for themselves;
</em></p>
<p><em>A single Twitter message resulted in a server that started smoking, 2000 views per seconds was too much. After 7 days the viral resulted in excess of 5,000,000 views and 7,000,000 friend forwards, at which point the mediabuy got cancelled as the target was more than reached.

The <em>daar</em> campaign is an initiative of the NCDO and the <em>hier</em> climate campaign. It requests people to pay attention to the severe consequences of climate change in developing countries.</strong></p>

<p><em>Daar ben ik</em> is introduced and endorsed by Kofi Annan. It includes a digital pop-up book that uses augmented reality technology. By posing in front of a web cam with a booklet four different 'pop-up' stories are unfolded using 3D animations with synced audio. The website also contains a petition and send-to-a-friend functionality.</p>]]>

<p>BlueMotionTechnologies bundles Volkswagen's best environmental technologies of today to fulfill the automotive aspirations of tomorrow. These are developments such as the new start-stop system and energy recovery by regenerative braking, electric drives and hybrid systems as well as clever drive systems like the one in the new TSI EcoFuel.</p>

        <![CDATA[<p><strong>Commissioned by <a href="http://www.kongamsterdam.nl/" rel="external" target="_blank">Kong Amsterdam</a>, Refunk visually designed and produced the <em>Stanislav Strikes Again &amp; Again</em> Hyves campaign. This project is part of a cross-media campaign by the Dutch government that aims to make Dutch citizens aware of the dangers of cybercrime and educate them on how to use the Internet in a safe way. The AV production was done by <a href="http://www.comrad.nl/?homepage" rel="external" target="_blank">Comrad</a> with director <a href="http://www.comrad.nl/?director=8" rel="external" target="_blank">Roel Welling</a>.</strong></p>

<p>Cyber-criminal Stanislav stars as the main character in an Internet film, where he searches the web for information on potential victims. Everyone who logs into Hyves and plays the movie will see their own personalized video that includes their public profile information - like gender, name, age, amount of friends and hometown -, profile picture and public photos. After the movie is displayed a Hyver can send a message to his/her friends to notify them of their own personalized film or watch 5 tips on how to keep criminals like Stanislav away.</p>

<p><img class="inline" src="http://www.refunk.com/img/streamer_stanislav1.gif" alt="More than 3 million visitors in 7 days" /> Half-a-day after the Stanislav campaign was launched it went viral without any media buy. With more than 5 million visitors and over 7 million friend forwards within 1 week, it makes it the most successful Hyves campaign to date. Stanislav was covered by numerous online and traditional newspapers and was shown on television by the Dutch NOS news.</p>

<p><img style="float: right;" src="http://www.refunk.com/img/streamer_stanislav2.gif" alt="Forwarded to more than 7 million friends in 1 week" /> On news blogs and Twitter many people responded very positively and many Hyvers posted pictures or recorded screen videos of their personalized movie on websites like Flickr and <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbvHPrzqto0" rel="external" target="_blank">YouTube</a>. The campaign also started a lively public debate about <a href="http://www.marketingfacts.nl/berichten/20090813_zo_maak_je_campagne_op_hyves/" rel="external" target="_blank">online privacy</a>.</p>

<p>Due to its enormous success the campaign <a href="http://www.justitie.nl/actueel/persberichten/archief-2009/90819werk-van-stanislav-zit-er-op.aspx" rel="external" target="_blank">was taken offline</a> after 7 days, because almost every active Hyves user was reached and to avoid the forwarded messages being perceived as spam.</p>]]>

<p>The TimelineWatcher class enables a developer's code to watch a timeline as it is played back and be notified when a frame label or the end of the timeline has been reached. By using frame labels as hooks - cue points, as in web video - timelines and actions can now be truly separated from your application logic.</p>

The game was produced by Little Chicken and audio for both game and website was produced by Big Orange.</strong></p>

<p>SWFObject 2 is a method to embed Flash Player content that respects web standards, detects Flash Player to avoid broken SWF content, is very easy to use and supports the use of alternative content to display content to people that browse the web without plug-ins or help search engines index your content. SWFObject 2 is also an open source project that is officially supported by Adobe and is happily sponsored by Refunk.</p>]]>

This time our <em>Une Déclaration Nommée Désir</em> website for Carte Noire was the lucky winner of a Golden Award at the 2008 Montreux Festival in the category Multimedia/web/CD-rom.</strong></p>
<p style="clear: left;"><br />Commissioned by Euro RSCG 4D Amsterdam, Refunk produced the Valentine's Day website where visitors can compose a personalized love serenade to try to seduce the one they desire.</p>
<p>The receivers of this <em>Déclaration Nommée Désir</em> can choose to guess the identity of their secret admirer in a hint-based quiz, and if successful participate in a competition with a chance to win a magical trip for two.</p>
